The Ryminster Group comprises of five companies specialising in bridging the gap between law and medicine. Operating across the UK in numerous arenas, from driver and employment medicals and occupational health to minor surgery and firearms licence medical reporting. As they began to scale I-Tel were asked to consult on options for procurement systems and supply chain assistance. Five companies with individual requirements and no central buying team all sourcing very different products from a multitude of suppliers.
On analysis the available data and processes we formulated a proposal to address their pain points and build a platform for their operational procurement.
As standard we usually upload all the standard products our client uses but in this case we needed to reverse engineer the process to obtain all the necessary data.
A starting point focused on ensuring all future purchasing traffic travelled through our platform. Working closely with the leadership team we were quickly able to establish preferred suppliers and very competitive pricing. The first requirement alone resulted in a 30k saving for Ryminster. Utilising our warehousing and logistics arm Ryminster were able to capitalise on bulk buying opportunities.
Outsourcing and centralising the procurement to I-Tel has allowed the leadership team to focus on strategic tasks and expansion. We have been able to demonstrate the bespoke service we provide with highlights including the design, manufacturing and supply of newly formulated Snellen charts and the building, furnishing and interior design of a new private healthcare surgery.
